LIBERTY CLIPPER fits 100 on deck standing and sitting combination, and 40 below decks in the Grand Salon. LIBERTY STAR fits 39 on deck standing and sitting combination.

It depends on the size of your party. We have available seating on deck (benches and folding chairs) as well as plenty of standing room.

When you book a charter with us you are entitled to use the whole ship. If you would like us to rope off areas for your event to create a more intimate feeling we would be happy to do so.

8-10 crew members (excludes caterers and entertainers). Our crew wears a white Liberty Fleet polo and khaki pants or shorts.

When the sails are up, you will always have shade on one side of the ship. Or if you prefer, we can put up our awning which covers most of the deck.

A microphone and sound system are available; depending on the number of guests and where you would like to have the ceremony, it may be necessary.

The Grand Salon is available, although we have windows and hatches which will make it difficult to maintain any privacy. One of our cabins could be used to change clothes as long as you can climb from below decks in your dress!

A 50% deposit is requested when you sign your charter contract. The additional 50% is required no later than 60 days before your event.

We sail rain or shine. If we cancel due to threatening weather, we can reschedule your charter. If the charterer cancels we cannot provide a refund. Consider weather insurance if you don’t want to use our awning (though some of our most beautiful weddings have been in the rain!).

A ship’s captain generally does not have the legal right to perform a wedding at sea. In order for a Captain of a ship to perform a marriage at sea, he must also be a judge, a justice of the peace, a minister, or an officially recognized officiant such as a Notary Public. You will need to arrange your own officiant.

Boarding time will be 15 minutes prior to the sail; it will take 10-15 minutes to go over our safety speech and get underway.
