Quick Details
Before Boston was a walking city, it was a sailing town. For most of Boston’s history, the harbor was the center of the city, and urban life was dominated by sailing ships. Step aboard the schooner Liberty Clipper and into that era with experiences recorded by those who lived it: a mother, merchant, sailor, cook, poet, preacher, privateer, diplomat, cabin boy, and others. The cruise follows the paths of ships like the Flying Cloud, Astrea, and Columbia, exploring how their voyages shaped Boston and helped industrialize the country.
Under sail (feel free to help the crew hoist the sails!), away from sirens and jackhammers, maritime history comes alive. Your guide is a docent from Boston By Foot who shares his/her knowledge of harbor history as you see Boston and its skyline from a whole new perspective.
Beverages can be purchased on board for you to enjoy during your sail. In order to respect social distancing, our crew will take your order and serve our guests their drinks. Cash bar available but drink tickets for contactless purchases onboard can be bought online along with your tickets. As it is usually cooler on the water, we also recommend bringing an extra layer such as a light pullover or jacket.
Our captain and crew are ready to welcome you to an experience offering plenty of fresh air and sunshine! Health & Safety Updates and Procedures can be found on our website. We are sailing at 50% capacity and require masks for boarding.

Come aboard for a day sail in Boston on one of our classic schooners! Sailing is a great, family-friendly way to see Boston from a new viewpoint.
If Boston is best seen from the water, then by far the best time to see it is during a sunset cruise on a classic schooner!
