Come join the LIBERTY CLIPPER for a coastal sailing vacation on a tall ship from Boston to New York and explore the Islands of New England! You will board the LIBERTY CLIPPER at between 12pm and 4pm at her berth at the New England Aquarium in Boston, MA on Saturday September 29, 2012. You can settle into your cabin that evening and enjoy a meal ashore in one of Boston's many historic waterfront area restaurants. Take a stroll through Historic Faneuil Hall or head over to the North End for a taste of Little Italy in Boston. We will sail out of Boston Harbor with the city skyline as a backdrop - it is a romantic start to an amazing coastal sailing vacation on a majestic tall ship. Experience the grandeur of Boston's historic sailing past aboard Boston's Tall Ship, the Schooner Liberty Clipper.
We'll be bound for the Cape Cod Canal where we will plan to have breakfast while transiting this man-made canal on Sunday morning with Cape Cod off to port.
After the ship has passed under three bridges we will fire our cannon in salute to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Each day, you will enjoy home-made meals by from our Chef. The LIBERTY CLIPPER will make stops along the way south where you can head ashore and explore. Each trip is unique and we'll choose our ports by the wind and weather.
The LIBERTY CLIPPER will follow the coast southwards along New England stopping at various islands and small coastal towns. We may visit Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Cuttyhunk, Block Island, Long Island, or any other combination of coastal ports on the way to NYC. We don't know where we will stop as we will sail where the wind blows on the enjoyable coastal transit.
Itinerary...
September 29th - October 5th, 2012: You are invited to join the ship in Boston on the afternoon of September 29th. The ship will sail that evening for NYC. We will arrive in NYC by mid-day on October 5th. You'll be responsible for dining ashore on Saturday, September 29th.
Cost: $950/person based upon double occupancy. This includes all your meals, accommodations and sailing. There is a bar aboard that you may purchase alcoholic beverages at.
