Bahamas Sailing Vacations and Tall Ship Windjammer Cruises...
Bahamas Sailing Vacations...
The Liberty Clipper offers sailing vacations from Nassau Island. The Bahamas are large grouping of islands that are separated from Miami by the Straits of Florida by about 45-miles at the closed point. The islands extend Eastward into the Atlantic Ocean and make up the winter sailing vacation cruising grounds of the Tall Ship Liberty Clipper. This is an unspoiled island paradise far from the crowds where serenity and natural beauty abound...

All our Bahamas Sailing Vacation Cruises begin on Sunday afternoon and end on the following Saturday. You're invited to board the ship anytime after 5pm on Sunday and get ready for a vacation cruise you'll never forget. The Bahamas are the beginning of the Caribbean Islands - join us as we explore the beautiful waters that are so close to home!

The Liberty Clipper will sail along the island chains in the Bahamas each day. Each night will be spent anchored off a different island as we explore our way through this island chain. Depending upon the itinerary of the cruise you join us for, we will visit remote fishing villages, historic forts and deserted islands with private sand beaches where you can stroll and swim in serenity.

Where the ship sails to...
Our Bahamas tall ship cruises start and end in Nassau where you can fly in directly to Nassau International Airport (Airport Code "NAS"). You will be welcomed aboard the ship on Sunday afternoon at 5:00pm. The ship will remain in Nassau for you to explore the area on Sunday night and will set sail the following morning to begin our island hopping adventure! You will be responsible for dinner ashore on Sunday night and we will commence with meal service on Monday morning.
The principal islands that the ship will visit during your cruise may include the Berry Islands, Andros Island, Eleuthera Island and Abaco Island. We never know which islands we will visit as the Captain will determine the ultimate course based upon the wind direction and any exciting events that we know of in the area. Each of our vacations is unique and special in this aspect. The islands are all known for something special:
Andros Island: Andros Island is the Bahamas' natural wonder. This island is home to the world's 3rd larges barrier reef; is a migratory bird paradise and lies along the "Tounge of the Ocean" (a large protected sea to the East) where whales, marlin and dolphin abound. Andros Island is the largest Island of the Bahamas and where the Liberty Clipper spends a large portion of her time cruising. This island offers amazing wildlife and is steeped in history while still providing charming coastal towns that present opportunities to explore and pick up some local-made gifts and souvenirs.
Berry Islands: This cluster of 30 cays is very secluded and offers amazing "swim ashore" beaches and spectacular snorkeling on these largely uninhabited islands.
The Abacos: The Abacos are locally considered the "sailing capital of the world." When the winds are favorable, the Liberty Clipper will sail these islands moving from island to island. The Cays of the Abacos were settled by English colonists and still remain a very New England look and feel with while embracing a Bahamian flair of pastel colors.
Eleuthera Island: Eleuthera Island extends in a North-South direction and is 110-miles long while only two miles wide! It's endless white beaches, colonial villages and pineapple fields always charm visitors.
You cruise will take you to a new town or new island each day after we've sailed the warm tropical waters. The Liberty Clipper will return to her berth on Nassau early Saturday morning at the completion of your cruise - if you're hooked, you can always extend and stay with us another week in paradise!
